In reviewing the time schedule notes from parents, I noticed all check marked through 7 p.m., and more than half check marked beginning class at 6:15 p.m. The majority also check marked an hour-long class.
I feel it is important to give all my students an opportunity to learn breakdowns together even though this is not a performing class, with the hopes of alleviating any one of my students feeling like they are falling “behind” if they cannot arrive by 6 p.m. Because of this, and knowing the rain is coming soon which creates more congestion on the roads, class will begin at 6:15 p.m. I would still like for parents to aim for arriving at 6ish, “early” rather than “on time.” This allows your dancers to walk in relaxed and feel ready.
Also, because almost everyone check marked an hour class, I will provide a separate inquiry sheet to find out whether that is feasible: the possibility would be 6:15 - 7:15 p.m. I will avoid 6-7 p.m. for the reasons stated above.
Items that are helpful for me to teach your young dancers
● Attendance/Absences: If your dancer is unable to attend a class, please message me as soon as you know (916-879-3950). This allows me to plan ahead.
● Punctuality: Just put your best foot forward to get to class on time and arrive with folklorico shoes.
● Parents: Come in and relax! Your excitement transfers to your dancers. We know they are an extension of us, so relax too :)
I know that changing maestros is sometimes tough for students and parents alike: Getting accustomed to knew personalities, different thoughts, different manners of teaching, and the changing of dance regions. I hope that we can get through the process quickly and painlessly :)
Gracias!
