Since ALL of our classes will practice/dance together, the Dance-A-Thon (DAT) will be in the parking lot. We hope to see a good turnout since it is one of the few times during which all dancers can meet one another!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since Sunday afternoon was chosen, please make sure your dancers have eaten a good breakfast & lunch prior to arriving to dance! They will not be breaking for food until 4 p.m.
September 24, SUNDAY-- Itinerary
Noon. Set up and decorations. Please let us know if you can help set up at this link (if you can't add in the link, please text me)!
1 p.m. Dancer arrival. If you have cash donations with you, please check in so that you can place them in the box!
1:00-3:00 p.m. A warm up and then dancing, learning, practicing, and having fun with all age groups!
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each class will showcase a dance of their preference. (Infantil Fundamentals: Maestra Briana has asked to have her dancers showcase El Gallito with us! This will be fun!)
4:00 p.m. Dancers will have lunch items available for them.
5:00 p.m. Clean up!
PLEDGES
If you missed receiving a pledge sheet, you can download one from here: Pledge sheet. Any pledge amount is helpful! Pledges can be sent via Venmo to @Adelita-Flores81. Please include your "dancer's name" and "DAT Event" in the Venmo note so that it can be allocated correctly. Don't forget to talk with your family and friends about your passion and share! Let them know they can come watch you practice between 1-3 p.m. and while you showcase your class at 3 p.m.
WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED HELP WITH?
Our Vice President, Rosario Guerrero, will be helping to have sandwiches and snack items available for our young hungry dancers. If you can help with any items, please sign up on the Food Sign-Up Sheet.
FOLKLORICO INTRO CLASS. A folklorico two-hour crash course will be taught inside the studio for persons who just want to have fun and learn! Following their class, they will join Nube dancers to showcase their skills as well!
Registration for the Intro Crash Course is $35, and is limited to 30 dancers. Anyone over the age of 12 can register. Feel free to share the information: here is the link! Yes, our parents and families can register. (A meal will not be provided for registrants.)
Food. During the DAT, there will be a food booth, aguas, and desserts for those who would like to purchase while watching.
Seating: There will be limited seating available; feel to bring your folding chair if you like!
